One of my very favorite thing to photograph is people in their homes. We are more comfortable at home. We are rooted at home. At home we shuck off our shells and let ourselves breathe. A couple weeks ago our friends held a barn raising of sorts and I took along my camera to help document the process. One day, when their home is finished and perfect, I want them to remember the laughter and the tears that it took to get them there. The mud and the worry. The hope and the fear.
This beauty you built with your own two hands.
