Meet Karen Luke Fildes. She is wonderful and kind and smart and a terrific painter. She has spent the past two decades dedicating her love, respect and awe for the natural splendor of the Northwest, using oil and canvas. Her works have been displayed at galleries and exhibits in the Northwest, Canada and Germany. She is a recipient of Pierce County Arts Commission’s Margaret K. Williams Award for Excellence in the Arts and has recently finished a series of 500 landscapes studying water and atmosphere.
Let me tell you. She is magnificent and I' lucky to call her my friend. I was so honored to visit her in her light-filled studio in a historic building in Shoreline and witness her process. Karen's mind is so bright and so unconventional, being around her is a deep breath of fresh air. She is beautiful inside and out and I am honored to capture her and her good work. I hope this collaboration leads to many more. If you are a lady artist in the Pacific Northwest and interested in me capturing your process give me a call! I am super obsessed with trade right now and lady artists promoting and appreciating each others works.
