Hey Internet Darlings,
I'm still trying to catch up, showing you all the fantastic portraits I've made this year. Why am I lagging so hard? WHY AM I JUST NOW SHOWING YOU A BIRTHDAY THAT HAPPENED MONTHS AGO????? Well it is perhaps because I was spending all my time building THIS for the other half of myself and writing THIS for one of my favorite blog's. This piece is really special, I share a ton of REAL pictures of myself that have made me passionate about this work and stories of authenticity that have made me more and more convinced its worth the cause. Click over and check it out. And while you are at it, check out the beautiful Mallory Redmond. (She has an essay in this amazing book that came out this week in case you have an amazon card in your wallet just begging for a treat.)
BUT BUT BUT!
All of that, while well and good, is not what we are here for.
We are here for BIRTHDAYS. You know much much I love them. This particular birthday party in Huntington Beach California included the best lights and the biggest throne and all the funnest people. The determined and handsome Caige turned five years old and got to celebrate at BounceU! He was among his very bestest friends. He got to eat pizza and cake and drink apple juice and generally have the time of his life. As always, I was thrilled thrilled thrilled to spend my afternoon laying on my belly - flirting with babies and watching everyone go from pure joy to a total meltdown and then home. Yay for 6! I can't wait Caige.
