Winter in Seattle is a time of hibernating.
I don't know what it feels like to winter in Maine or Alaska or Minnesota, but here in Seattle it is dark all day and it is wet all day and we shift our family life indoors. We cuddle more. We stay in our pajamas longer. We drink warm drinks and we sip soup and we pile the blankets on.
A few months ago our lovely Nature Kids Community had a pajama holiday party and I snapped a few pictures in between cuddling my tiny human and drinking hot choclate. This blog is a part of the collection called Our Beautiful Ordinary Life which invites you dear reader to imagine inviting a photographer into the ordinary moments of your days and believing that they are beautiful and will yield beautiful photographs of connection and joy.
